Pentax ME - Asahi Pentax 135mm f3.5

Pentax ME - Asahi Pentax 135mm f3.5

A great camera from the height of technological advancement in film photography, the Pentax ME is an aperture priority automatic camera which allows control of the aperture size while the camera calculates the appropriate shutter speed. With a bright and easy to read electronic light meter, and Asahi Pentax 135mm lens which is great for portrait photography.

The Pentax ME is a 1976-introduced, aperture priority automatic camera with an electronic focal plane shutter from 8 s to 1/1000 s, synchronized at 1/100 s.

The shutter curtains are metal and have a vertical movement. There is no shutter speed dial, and the camera can not be used in manual mode, except for B and 1/100 exposures. The Pentax-invented digital light meter is of the standard TTL open aperture center weighted type. It is activated by a slight pressure on the release button.
