Richard Hudnut - Used 1930's Brass Compact

Richard Hudnut - Used 1930's Brass Compact

This used 1930's brass makeup compact was made for the makeup company Richard Hudnut which capitalized on the new found trend not only for women to conspicuously wear makeup, but to also collect makeup as beautiful fashion accessories Makeup had only recently become mainstream for women to wear daily, and the public application of which was still somewhat of a radical act at the time.

In very good condition but for some minor tarnishing on the exterior. There is a window in the top of the compact because that is where a matching lipstick tube would have clipped in, unfortunately we do not have this piece. It comes with the original powder puff and has some remains of the original powder still in it.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
Returns will be handled on a case by case basis, and partial refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

Returns must be shipped back at customer's expense and original purchase and shipping will be refunded after a case is opened with Canada Post.
