Here is a very cool vintage piece of bar memorabilia. This Gilbey's London Dry Gin mirror features a wooden frame. It is in used condition. The wood frame has two holes drilled in it for hanging, bottom and top. It doesn't have any major visible issues. The mirror is great and has no major scratches or cracks. It does have a few spots where the mirror appears stained inside the glass(pics 5 & 6) but really only noticeable up close. The graphic is complete and blemish free, the colours are vibrant and the blacks are black.
It is 15"x 27"x 2"
Gilbey’s Gin recipe dates to the 1870s, when the Gilbey brothers, two veterans of the Crimean war, whose successful wine/spirits merchant business had thrived throughout the second half of the 19th century, expanded their business to include the eponymous gin (called Gilbey’s since 1895). Distilled from grain neutral spirits, it purportedly contains 12 botanicals. It was so popular that the rights to distill it were sold to the US in the 1930s and it has been distilled domestically since then.

Due to the nature of vintage items being used, we cannot guarantee that any item will be in perfect working condition. Oftentimes vintage items need a bit more creativity to operate than a brand new item and can have unique quirks like a stiff button, or wiggly latch. We do our best to thoroughly test and describe the condition of every item we sell.
