This hardcover book of poems features the works of Lord Tennyson, the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign and remains one of the most popular British poets. In 1829, Tennyson was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal at Cambridge for one of his first pieces, "Timbuktu"
In fair condition with all pages and cover intact, although some gilding has rubbed off the spine and the leather of the spine is somewhat deteriorated, but still holds complete. Some rub marks and worn edges on the sheets. Gilt edges. Nameplate pasted in the front cover.
