This unique mirror was crafted some time in the late 1800's by someone with an incredible talent for realism and an eye for detail.
Entirely hand carved with beautiful cherubs above a floral motif with petals and leaves delicately curling away from a stippled background, the entire thing painstakingly created with a number of tool. Carved from several pieces which are all assembled together on a metal frame. this mirror would have taken a huge amount of time and dedication to create.
Glass may be a more modern piece, it is difficult to know for sure. Glass is fully intact and mirror silvering appears to have the crackling and variation that an antique mirror should have and the glass it's self is very thick, but the back of the glass looks more modern than the Victorian era. Acquired from a direct descendant of it's carver, full provenance of this piece can be disclosed upon sale.
