These adorable animals are a family of blue ceramic cats with black stripes, and each of the babies has a brass chain leading from the neck to the mamma cat. These figurines were popular in the 1950's as a gift with the chains representing the bond between the mother and babies.
Made in Japan of ceramic with the paint being the top layer and no glaze on top, it is easy to accidentally wipe the paint right off when trying to clean these critters which is why it is so rare to find these in good condition and not either dirty or over cleaned with paint missing.
Some minor dust in the crevices and only a couple very small spots with the white ceramic showing through, this beautiful family is in very good condition. No chips or cracks at all.
