This lamp is a unique piece of World War Two memorabilia.
Made using a large artillery shell that has been drilled through and wired with a standard lamp socket and mounted on a wooden base. It has a harp added with a helmet for a shade. This lamp has been rewired for safety with it's original plug end and all socket parts reinstalled and has a pull chain switch.
There are some identifying marks on the shell, but not enough of it is decipherable to us including the signature or inscription on the wooden base, as pictured.
This lamp is surprisingly heavy and weighs about 20lbs in total
Measures 22" high
