Slag glass, also known as marble glass, is a type of opaque, streaked pressed glass. Production of slag glass originated in late-19th-century England, where glass manufacturers are thought to have added slag from iron-smelting works to molten glass to create a range of effects—from tortoiseshell to marbling. Among other uses, slag glass was a popular material for lampshades

This green and white marbled slag glass pendant lamp has been wired with a six foot transparent yellow cord and brass chain and has art nouveau style floral decorations and scalloped, chain-style loops line the bottom of the lampshade with an off white colour tassel fringe running around the edge.

Lampshade measures approximately 22" in diameter and 12" tall, chain and cord is around 6 ft in length but can be shortened or lengthened (with new chain installed, sold separately.)

This pendant lamp is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks in the glass panels. Can be hung anywhere you need a light, but be sure to use a strong hook as this lamp weighs a good 10 lbs. Cord can be switched out for shorter ceiling mount type
