Sorry, this item has sold.

This interesting sign was made some time around 1920 -1930 by the Thomas Davidson Manufacturing Company Limited, Vinet Street, Montréal.

Born in Scotland, Thomas Davidson emigrated to Canada in 1842. In 1858, he founded the Thomas Davidson Manufacturing Company Limited in Montréal. The company was very successful in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. At the time, it had 700 to 800 employees. It manufactured metal containers and promotional articles for various tobacco and other companies.

This tin sign is in great vintage condition with the natural patina that comes with age. This sign has some holes around the edges where it was hung, as well as some chips in the paint as pictured.
