New Ontario Parliament Buildings Souvenir - Ceramic Toothpick Holder - Transferware


This ceramic souvenir toothpick holder features an image of the "new" Ontario Parliament buildings at Queen's Park in Toronto. In 1880 the government launched a design competition for a new provincial legislative building to be situated at Queen's Park. The building was completed in 1893 and Designed by Richard A. Waite dating this piece to right around the turn of the century.

Measures 2 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks at all.

An incredible find from just under 60 years from the city's founding.
