1955 Sylvania Model R598 Am tube radio in good vintage condition. The radio has been tested and is working well. There is a small crack on the top of the radio as well as a white blemish. It is missing two of the three original knobs at the top. Other than these imperfections it is in good condition. It appears that the radio was donated to the Orilla curling club by West End Radio Ltd in honor of their championship in 1956 and 1957. The cabinet is in a beautiful dark green accented by the white clock face and gold tone time. It would make a striking piece of decor in any room. The Panelescent display was Sylvania's phosphorescent technology in the 50s making the clock face glow in the dark, this feature has not withstood the years in this one. It is mounted on a piece of wood and has a plaque that reads the following:
Orilla L.C. Club
Champions 1956-57
Pam Behan
Ruby Ingram
Mabel Dilworth
Stuffy Reid Skip
