This beautifully hand painted glass jar is from the Victorian era which is the height of the time where ultra fancy serving accoutrements were used to show wealth and class.
Clear glass painted with a green translucent base and yellow green and gold hand painted textured floral accents.
Silver plated lid and handle are in excellent condition with some patina of tarnish and a bit of excess silver polish in the crevices. Ring that holds the silver handle portion on to the jar comes off so it would be advisable not to pick it up by the handle
Glass and paint are in good vintage condition with one issue, a small spot about 1cm across where the green background paint is worn down, as pictured
