This unique pin represents the RMS Lancastria, a British ocean liner requisitioned by the Government of the United Kingdom during the Second World War. She was sunk on 17 June 1940 during Operation Aerial, which remains the largest single loss of life in British maritime history. This pin is in great vintage condition with mild tarnish and some color loss on the front. It is in the shape of a ship wheel with the red flag at the center. The backing has a hook closure.
