Victorian Hand Painted Biscuit Jar from 1895-1922, 10

Victorian Hand Painted Biscuit Jar from 1895-1922, 10"

$91.07

This intricate hand painted biscuit jar has a beautiful floral design on green painted glass with a clear bottom and an ornate silver plated lid and handle made with electroplated Britannia metal (EPBM). The bottom of the lid is engraved with the makers mark, "Standard Silver Co. Toronto", which existed between 1895-1922. The numbers "0103" and "B3936" are also engraved on the lid, which are likely product numbers. This Victorian jar lost some of its hand painted details over its long life but the design is still clear in the green painted background. A stunning piece to store your favourite cookies or to simply admire as decoration. Please see pictures for details and send us a message if you have any questions!
