This charming antique pitcher is known by many names from fish jug, to gluggle jug, or gurgling jug, all names referencing the unique sound these pitchers make when water is poured from them.
This example is an 8" tall version which does in fact gurgle as it pours, making a glug glug kind of sound.
Has some visible crazing of the glaze on the inside of the mouth of the pitcher and minor crazing on the outside that is nearly invisible as it's masked by the colouration. Pitcher has one chip on the base as pictured, but no other chips, cracks, or damage. Base is not signed as was the way at the time this was made.
