Vintage District of 100 Mile House metal enamel souvenir pin. 100 Mile House is a district in British Columbia. Design is a stagecoach, a primary symbol for the district because of its location on the Cariboo Wagon Road, an essential route during the Cariboo Gold Rush of the 1860s. The name 100 Mile House comes from its position exactly 100 miles from Lillooet (Mile 0). It served as a vital roadhouse where stagecoach travelers and pack animals could rest and resupply.
