Vintage Albanian football club KF Tirana (Klubi i Futbollit Tirana) lapel/stick pin. The club was also historically known as "17 Nëntori" (17th November). KF Tirana is the most successful and decorated football club in Albania, with a storied history deeply tied to the country's political changes. Founded on August 15, 1920, as Sportklub Tirana, the club dominated early Albanian football, winning six of the first seven championships held in the 1930s. In 1946, the ruling communist regime forcibly renamed the club 17 Nëntori to honor the liberation of Tirana (November 17, 1944). In 1991, following the fall of communism, the club reclaimed its original name, KF Tirana.
