$9.94

Vintage Yugoslavian/Croatian Modra Lasta lapel/stick pin. Modra Lasta ("The Blue Swallow") is Croatia's longest-running educational and entertainment magazine for primary school students. Founded in 1954 in Zagreb, it has been a cultural staple for generations of children across Croatia and the former Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was a Balkan country that existed from 1918 to 1992, uniting South Slavic peoples under two main iterations: the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992). Founded on the vision of unity after World War I, it was a diverse nation spanning Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. This pin is from 1970's/80's, meaning it is from when the country was still Yugoslavia. The pin is in good, vintage condition, some signs of age. See photos for condition.
Pin is 4 cm long
