The pin reads "SreČanje Borcev V Nov" ("Meeting of Fighters of the National Liberation War"), It refers to the Slovenian Partisans who fought against Axis occupation during World War II. "Avtobushnih Podj Slov" indicates that it was organized by bus companies who were also veterans, and "Golte 76," the year and location of the event. Yugoslavia was a Balkan country that existed from 1918 to 1992, uniting South Slavic peoples under two main iterations: the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992). Founded on the vision of unity after World War I, it was a diverse nation spanning Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. During the socialist era of the former Yugoslavia, it was very common for professional organizations (like transport workers) to hold annual memorial "meetings". These events such as the ones tied to this pin, honored the "spirit of the revolution" and provided a way for veterans within specific industries to maintain social and political ties.
