Vintage 505 Bomboni Yugoslavian/Croatian lapel/stick pin. 505 Bomboni is made by Kraš in Zagreb, Croatia (formerly Yugoslavia). Known for its translucent, vibrant fruit flavours and its signature dark line wrapped around the center. 505 Bomboni candy now holds a deeply nostalgic place in Balkan pop culture.
Yugoslavia was a Balkan country that existed from 1918 to 1992, uniting South Slavic peoples under two main iterations: the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992). Founded on the vision of unity after World War I, it was a diverse nation spanning Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Originally known as "Union," following World War II and the rise of SFR Yugoslavia, the facility was nationalized by the state. The merged entities of Union, Bizjak, and other smaller factories were renamed Kraš in honour of Josip Kraš, a celebrated anti-fascist partisan hero. Kraš grew to become the second-largest confectionery exporter in Yugoslavia.
