Vintage Mototechna Czechoslovakia lapel/stick pin.
Mototechna was established in the early 1950s (with roots tracking back to 1946–1949) as a state-owned national enterprise in socialist Czechoslovakia. It served as the monopoly retailer for the purchase, distribution, and servicing of all passenger cars, motorcycles, and spare parts across the country. Following the fall of communism in 1989, and state privatization in 1992, the company struggled to compete against a massive influx of foreign Western car dealerships and modern used-car markets. The brand gradually lost its prominent market share and faded into a minor automotive service and parts company. In September 2012, AAA AUTO (now part of AURES Holdings) bought the rights to the classic brand name. This pin is vintage, from the era of Czechoslovakia. A sovereign country that existed from 1918 (formed after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) until 1992. It united the Czech and Slovak peoples into a single state.
The pin is in good, vintage condition, some signs of age, stick is a little bit bent. See photos for condition.
