Vintage Postojna Cave souvenir lapel/stick pin. Postojna Cave is a 24.34 km long karst cave system near Postojna, in southwestern Slovenia. It is the second-longest cave system in the country. This pin is vintage, from when Slovenia was a part of Yugoslavia. The design features an olm, an ancient, entirely aquatic cave-dwelling salamander native to the underground karst waters of Central and Southeastern Europe, particularly Slovenia. Because it has evolved for millions of years in complete darkness, it features some of the most extreme subterranean adaptations of any vertebrate. The pin is in good, vintage condition, some signs of age. See photos for condition.
