Vintage masonic "Tubal Cain" metal lapel pin. Also called a masonic plumb bob. Engraved on the central section is a triangle containing the letter "G", which is a central emblem in Freemasonry representing God (the Grand Architect of the Universe) and Geometry. In Masonic ritual, "Tubal Cain" is a significant password associated with the Master Mason degree, historically regarded as the first smith or artificer in metals. Pins representing this concept are traditionally designed to look like small tools, plumb bobs, mechanical fittings, or pins combining "two balls and a cane".
