Vintage metal pin for industrial manufacturing company Phoenix Contact, located in Alabama. The pin is marked on the back that it was union made in USA. Originally a German corporation, Phoenix Contact have substantial domestic operations across America. The pin's red graphic design represents their classic COMBICON pluggable terminal block connector line, which experienced a massive marketing and industrial push in the U.S. electronics market during the late 1980s and early 1990s. This pin was likely custom-commissioned to celebrate either a localized plant expansion/distribution milestone in Alabama, or it was distributed to an Alabama-based union labor delegation (such as the IBEW electrical workers) who specialize in installing Phoenix Contact automation arrays.
