Vintage WaterSentry metal enamel pin. WaterSentry is a commercial water security system developed via the integration of Oak Ridge National Laboratory's AquaSentinel technology by United Defense (a major defense contractor until they were acquired by BAE Systems in 2005). The system was designed for the early detection and warning of chemical contaminants in primary drinking water supplies using algal fluorescence measurement. The Oak Ride lab is overseen by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Pin is in good condition, see photos for condition.
