This ashtray is the genuine article, stolen from a luxurious Mexican hotel in the late 1960's or early 1970's. At the time it was standard for there to be smoking and non-smoking rooms and this ashtray was one of many items guests pilfered in the days before credit cards and the ability to charge for damages/theft after the fact became prevalent.
Clear glass with enameled base and red lettering in between keeping it safe from wear by washing.
