This oldschool jewellery store was located on a busy Toronto street for over 30 years where owner and expert watchmaker Chris would be found working away on an antique pocket watch or repairing a piece of jewellery for a customer.
If you went to the shop to buy a new chain or have something repaired, on entry you'd find that there is a floor to ceiling curved Iron gate where you must wait to be buzzed in. Once in, the faintest aroma of cologne and cigars smoked long ago comes to you as you make your way past the displays of watches, sterling silver chains, and 14k birthstone charms, and toward the back where Chris works at his jeweler's bench with a loupe wedged in his eye socket.
This panel is from the perpendicular sign hanging at Legend Jewellery in Toronto. It measures 8' ½ ft tall and is a single sheet of plexiglass with the vinyl lettering applied and sturdy framing. Has been outdoors for years and has all the wear you'd expect but is in surprisingly good condition with no major damage. Hang it in your stairwell or any tall blank space to add colour and character.
This piece is listed as local pick up only as it is too large to ship through Canada Post. Customers in the GTA can expect free delivery, but it may be possible to have this shipped to you via courier. Contact us for details
