The Federal Glass Company, founded in Columbus, OH in 1900, started its operations making pressed glass with mold-etched patterns. The company was a leader in producing what is commonly referred to as Depression glass. By the 1920s, Federal Glass was well known for its glassware, barware and unique glass items for the home. Its hallmark is an F inside a shield and is located on the bottoms of most of its glassware. These mugs came in several styles, these being the stacking model.
